As DC communities experience increasing rates of harassment, profiling, and violations of our rights by law enforcement, filming the police is a crucial way we can all keep each other safe.

Taking photographs and video of things that are plainly visible in public spaces is a constitutional right. That includes police and other government officials carrying out their duties.

  • Location (include quadrant)

  • If anyone was detained

  • What type of cops/ law enforcement agencies were present?

  • Any other information about what the cops/ agents were doing
